FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Customers should know that we are very transparent with pricing and there are no surprises. We charge an $89 service and inspection fee to send a certified technician out. If the repair or service is approved and completed the same day, that fee is fully waived and applied toward the job. Pricing depends on the condition of the system and the scope of work after a professional inspection. We always explain the issue, the solution, and the cost before doing any work. For larger projects or system replacements, a nonrefundable deposit is required to order parts and lock in the job. The remaining balance is collected once the work is completed. We do not upsell unnecessary work. If a system can be safely repaired, we will always offer that option before recommending replacement.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Our process is straightforward and focused on making things easy for the customer. First, we schedule a visit and send a certified technician to perform a full inspection of the fireplace or chimney system. The technician provides a 30-minute heads up before arriving. During the visit, we diagnose the issue, explain what we find, and go over all available options, whether that is cleaning, repair, or replacement. Before any work starts, the customer receives clear pricing and a full explanation of the scope of work. No work is done without approval. If the repair can be completed the same day, we handle it on the spot. If parts need to be ordered or the project is larger, we schedule the work and collect a deposit to proceed. Once the job is completed, we test the system, clean the work area, review everything with the customer, and make sure the fireplace is operating safely and properly before we leave.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our technicians are trained specifically in chimney and gas fireplace systems and work exclusively in this field. We have hands-on experience with natural gas and propane systems, including flat burner systems, log sets, pilot assemblies, valves, ignition systems, and full fireplace inspections. All work is performed following manufacturer guidelines, local codes, and safety standards. Our team is trained to identify hazards such as gas leaks, drafting issues, cracked fireboxes, and improper installations, and to recommend the correct solution based on safety and condition, not sales pressure. Because this is all we do, our training is combined with daily field experience, ongoing product knowledge, and real-world diagnostics rather than generic handyman work.
