FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am required to have 12 continuing education credits every 2 years when renewing my license.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I had never considered massage as a profession until someone recommended it to me but it made so much sense. Growing up, if I wanted something from my dad all he would ask of me was that I give him a 30 minute foot massage. 10 years later I was dating a window washer and massaging his arms and hands when he came home from work, when one day he made the suggestion that I look into massage therapy. I enrolled into school for massage within a week and haven't looked back since!
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I receive the most requests for deep tissue massages with focus areas. I believe this is because deep tissue can still be relaxing while reducing and releasing tension. Swedish and trigger point therapy are also very common and techniques can be mixed to provide the client with the best massage for them.
