FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Prices: Consultations-$10.00 Depending on how many rooms will depend on the price for the design fee. (Being a junior designer, my prices are cheap. I am developing a portfolio and experience, so please keep that in mind.)
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Just Décor and Furniture: We will consult to discuss your wants and needs and to show the space you are trying to decorate/furnish. In addition to the consultation, pictures of your space will be taken and field measurements will be performed. This is so we can reflect back to them if needed while shopping and for before and after photos. After the consultation, I will put together a binder with measurements and images of your space, the budget, notes, and stores. Once I get that together, I will contact you to discuss the stores that I think are appropriate for what you are looking for and we can pick a day that you are free to shop for your space. Please remember that communication is very important. Contact me via e-mail if you have questions about the process or any other information. I will eventually be starting a re-design program, which you will know when I update my sites. I have to find the right contractors and gain more experience first. Thank you for your patience.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have an associates degree in Interior Design. I got my degree from St. Louis Community College. They have an extensive program that allows designers to be fully successful after graduation. My professor is part of ASID and NCIDQ certified. Many people think you have to get a bachelors degree to be successful, but if you're a natural at what you do and love, I don't believe there is a need to go further. I have learned many of the programs that are needed to complete projects and the rest is research, experience, and passion!
