Introduction: We have and open book method of pricing our homes to our clients. This means that the client always knows where they are in their budget and we work together with our clients to insure that we stay on budget. We are insured, and because there is no licensing requirements to build houses in the state of Missouri, we are involved in the HBA of Greater Springfield's continuing education program to insure we are on top of any new codes and trends. We enjoy helping our homeowners vision for their homes become a reality.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We work on an open book, cost plus 8% profit and 4% overhead.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We typically try to get involved in the very beginning of the process. A big mistake that a lot of people make is ordering a house plan without finding out what square footage costs are and whether or not the home will work on the lot that they have. We have a process that helps our clients decide what they need in a home vs what they want in there home and make educated decisions on which things they may include or not depending on their budget. After we have the basic idea, we help design a home that is right for them from the style, to rooms, to finishes. And then we firm up pricing and get started on construction. Typically, we will start the planning process about 2 to 3 months before construction begins.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 25 years in the construction industry in multiple trades and I continue on a Monthly basis to attend continuing education through the HBA and other sources so I know the most innovative building techniques and am well aware of new codes and regulation.
