Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: We provide customized planning and design for each individual project. If you are starting out with a "fixer-up" or have a family that requires a multi-bedroom, 3 full baths, and a 4 car garage, we give either project the same attention and effort to transform it into your perfect home. Our genuine concern and thoughtfulness for our customer's needs is the tool that makes our services perfect for any project. The creation that shows when a project is completed. Some people work their whole life to live. When those people get to be grandparents and such, they may not be able to look around and see a contribution to their communities, BUT........ I see different homes, buildings, and other material objects that I have personally touched and left for others to appreciate in the following years.

Hired on Thumbtack

I spoke many times via message and email prior to actual meeting because of my 1500 mile distance to rental property. We planned to hire this company because they worked with us and dealing with us evictinv our tenant and crazy time table over a month long period without issue. Saying that...we planned for him to arrive at rental 9 am. At 8:45 he asked if were still meeting I said we were so he said he was running late due to child care duties and it would be at 10 vs. 9 am as otiginally planned. I had no problem with this at that point. At 10:38 I checked if they were close and got a screenshot off of I-10 in Moss Point,MS with a statement saying wreck on interstate headed up back road be there with google map ETA 33 minutes. 45 minutes later someone arrived and appeared lost in driveway so I walked over and I called trying to reach him thinking he was lost but it went to voicemail. No return calls, no text messages for another 20 minutes or so when I finally resorted to texting and saying "Are you going to make it? I have a lot to do if u arent can you please tell me" I then got an ETA of a different route from the interstate 20 miles away. When he arrived 3 hours and 45 minutes late he was pleasant enough but tried telling me he was so late because he had chased down an 18 wheeler who broke his front window with a rock after they got gas, which I paid little attention to because frankly I had heard too many stories that morning for tardiness. I would have rather heard " I cannot do today can we do it another day?" Additionally, had something like this happened a simple message, not silence for out of state homeowner who drove 20 hours overnight and wasted an entire morning sitting around after setting an alarm to make the meeting time is just pure decency. When we went inside he got right to business but walked back to truck several times for supplies when I was askinv questions. I asked a lot of questions as a female homeowner who does not know much about fixing things. Unfortunately I do not know what to think here on responses, I got a different answer from him than 4 other contractors that came to the property after him on same questions. Addotionally he never measured anything just looked and answer questions, as though he never intended to do any work at all and only came out to save face for holding ne uo so long. At the end of walkthrough he stated he would provide me with two different estimates by the end of the day because it would be very fast and easy since the job was not nearly as bad as he was expecting or as I made it out to be. 5 days later no estimates have arrived, again, 4 different contractors came out and 4 different contractors have already supplied estimates in that time before him all of which managed to arrive on time or early as well. I am not sure how they are able to stay in business with this type of practice. I have money to spend on contractors and needed to hire out right away I am floored at the level of unprofessionalism displayed here with dishonesty about whereabouts, accidents, etc. I cannot imagine blindly throwibg money to this company when our first meeting went like this.

Needs to get ahold of his personal life, stop chit chatting and get to work, clearly our job wasn't difficult but took two days, several texts and phone calls to even get him here. Poor communication and begs for money instead of taking his check and getting the job done.
R&S Contractors and project management's reply
Hi Tre, Hope life has been good to you and your father. First, I want to apologize for how i presented myself when I was doing the small project you had at your condo. A difficult time for me but I've learned that you must separate personal and business. That being said, I'm asking you if you will remove the review of which I'm ashamed and embarrassed.... I'm rebuilding business relationships thanks to patience and hard work. Thank you either way and enjoy life for it is all we have Shane

FAQs

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I introduce myself and define the services needed by the customer. Then I'll get as much information as I can about the project/job to give a better price/quote. I give them several options to help with budget and also a guarantee for the work and quality of it. We like to gain the business but also build friendships in the process.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

My father started in carpentry/construction when he was in high school. As a result, I was raised learning about the craft. I have always been a perfectionist shop of course I have a need to learn about anything I get involved with. I started going to my dad's jobs around the age of 13 and had to have my tool belt and hammer. I'm daddy's boy so I was on his shirt tail everywhere he went. Our all just came to me like it was a natural part of life.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Get several quotes and look for character in the guys you consider. They have to care about the customer and their SATISFACTION. Second, quality and cost. If it sounds unbelievable, then it most likely is.
