This was my first time using Thumbtack, and I couldn’t be happier with Richard Flood’s work. He photographed our decorative mirrors and other resort areas — not an easy task, especially trying to capture mirrors inside an elevator (talk about a photographer’s nightmare 😅). What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have "average" rates, but shooting real estate, projects vary by square footage, room count, exterior and/or interior, furnished or unfurnished, including or not including editing, virtual staging, etc. so projects must be quoted on a case-by-case basis because of these variables.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to get specifics on what the client is looking for for their particular project, as every client's needs vary. Once we establish what you're looking for, I know what it takes to deliver that to you. Then we can agree on a price that fits within your budget and move forward.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am constantly educating myself on my craft whether it comes to skills or knowledge of equipment or software, things are constantly changing in how I can deliver the highest quality images to any given client, so it's an ongoing thing.
