I moved into a house with solar power last year at a very busy time in my life. Managing the solar was not a priority. After several months of ignoring it I received a message from Dustin, from Independent Power, saying he noticed that I never transferred the account/ownership to myself. He told me the steps, and when we realized the solar control box was broken and couldnt connect to my internet, he started the warranty process for me and helped me to get the repairs covered. He was always very helpful and available, usually corresponding by text. I feel lucky that this is the company managing my solar. It has small town, family vibes. 10/10 recommend.

We recently had Independent Power install a home solar power system at our house in Bozeman. They were quick to respond, very competent and friendly, and did an outstanding job. Independent Power installed a 12kw solar system for our house and then a couple of years later installed a battery back up system. We have had no issues at all with our systems! I couldn't have been more pleased about the way Independent Power handled the whole process of aquiring our solar and battery systems. Everyone I dealt with were personable, knowledgeable and professional. From handling the paperwork with Northwestern Energy, to the actual installations, everything was done with professionalism and attention to detail. IPS installed grid-tied (no batteries) rooftop solar panels with microinverters on my house about 4 years ago. They have functioned well ever since, except for an incident last year where several of the microinverters failed for an unknown reason. They replaced the failed microinverters under warranty at no cost to me within a couple of weeks of when I first reported the issue.
