- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Partly a trade of opportunity- there was a lot of flooring to be done when I started. I also picked it because it travels well- even overseas. Tile and flooring work is usually in demand wherever I go.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
My most common install is a bathroom remodel. This includes new tile floors and tile shower. Many times I will also paint and set new sinks and vanities too. Bedrooms of new carpet, or changing out a bedroom of carpet for hardwood is also common.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Price is important. But don't short yourself on quality materials. In the long run they are cheaper because they last longer. The same goes with contractors. You certainly may not go with the most expensive of installers, but you do get what you pay for.
