FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
After meeting with or discussing the matter with the client we will provide you with a quote for the terms of our representation. Depending on the matter, and the level of assistance requested by the client, we normally bill clients either hourly or on a flat fee basis. With a valid debit or credit card we offer a payment plan for our services.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Normally the first contact is either by phone or email. Depending on the clients needs and the matter we usually then set a meeting with the client which gives us an opportunity to get more information from the client and allows us to answer the clients questions. Following this conference we then provide to the client options of how to proceed to resolve their legal issues, and the pros and cons of each of those options along with cost estimates.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have an undergraduate degree in Political Science from NC State University, and Juris Doctorate from UNC Chapel Hill. I have been practicing since 1992, and over the last 12 years have concentrated in the area of family law. I am also a certified parenting coordinator and provide that service to other individuals and attorneys.
