Introduction: ** For more information, to request an estimate, or to check our availability please reach out to us directly via Gmail or phone. Service providers must PAY $3.50+ to respond to each contact via Thumbtack, and the majority of inquiries do not lead to booked appointments. This means either lost income for the service provider OR frustration for service seekers who get no response when they contact a provider via Thumbtack. ** Barking Mountain Pet Styles provides experienced, customized one on one service for your pup in the comfort and safety of your home! You don't have to worry about scheduling drop-off and pick-up times for your pet's appointment, and your pet doesn't have to experience stress by being placed in a kennel at a crowded, noisy salon. Our owner/groomer is an award winning pet stylist - she uses all-natural products and top of the line equipment to provide the best experience possible for your furry family member! We are fully insured and Pet CPR/First Aid certified through PetTech. As a life-long animal lover and award winning pet stylist, our owner/groomer Rachel Mongno takes pride in helping nervous pups become comfortable with the grooming process, and works to gain the trust of every pet she meets! She loves knowing that her skills and services help pets to be as comfortable and happy as possible.

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Barking Mountain Pet Styles House Call Grooming Service starts at $60-$65 for small/toy breed full service baths, and goes up depending on many factors, including breed, age, weight, coat type and condition, behavior, groom type requested, and location.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Barking Mountain Pet Styles generally requires an in-home consultation (always free of charge) prior to scheduling your pet's first grooming appointment. We prefer to spend that time getting to know your pet and helping you, the pet parent, chose a grooming style that will best fit your pet and your lifestyle! At your pet's first appointment, we want to be sure that our focus is entirely on your pet and their comfort.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Rachel Mongno has been working with dogs in the pet styling industry for years! She was employed as a Groomer's Assistant for a local salon for 6 months before beginning her apprenticeship under a Certified Master Groomer, and after her apprenticeship, Rachel began grooming dogs on her own. Over 8 years later, she's still excited to meet new pups and try fresh styles. Continuing education is important, as the field of pet styling is ever-evolving. Barking Mountain Pet Styles focuses on continuing education through regular educational seminar attendance and global networking with trade/industry specialists.
