Introduction: Bring Your Life Into Balance Breath of Life Healing Arts offers the holistic modalities of bodywork, acutonics sound healing, energy work, and yoga to help you restore harmony to your body, mind and spirit. We have two offices located in Black Mountain and Asheville, NC. Integrated Bodywork Sessions: Our integrated bodywork sessions include a variety of techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, shiatsu, sports, acupressure, trigger point and myofascial release. Acutonics and energy work may also be incorporated into your session for no additional charge. Acutonics Sound Healing: Acutonics is a non-invasive and energy-based method of sound healing that is used during sessions to bring your whole being into balance. "Acu" refers to acupuncture and "tonic" to tone. This system combines the wisdom of Chinese medicine with the principles of sound healing. In other words, Acutonics is like acupuncture but uses sound instead of needles. In a session, precision-calibrated tuning forks, Tibetan bowls, and Tibetan bells are used both on and off the body to access the body's energy systems including the acupuncture meridians and chakras. Both the sound of the tuning forks and their application can facilitate dynamic and profound shifts on the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual levels. Yoga: Many people know of yoga through the practice of asana (yoga poses) alone. However, yoga extends far beyond the practice of asana to include such practices as dhyana (meditation), pranayama (breathing practices) and samadhi (a state of oneness or union with God or the divine). Breath of Life's approach to yoga is freedom through strength. By practicing yoga, one can gain freedom by developing a strong yet pliable body, focused mind, and a strong yet open and accepting heart.
