Introduction
Embracing a modern way of learning music through unique teaching methods, my cello lessons provide an enjoyable and supportive environment where students attain both artistic growth and personal fulfillment.
Each lesson is customized based on the students' skills and learning pace. Through this, everyone stays motivated and on track. Students of all ages and backgrounds seeking to deepen their understanding and appreciation of music are welcome to join our program.
The cello may not be an easy instrument to master, but a one-on-one instruction from an experienced cellist is well worth one's devotion and time. I can teach you various types of music, including ensemble arrangements, solos and orchestral pieces.

After about a year of listening to the beautiful music coming from Attila Szaszs studio while my sons were in piano and guitar lessons, my husband and I finally decided to sign our 8 year old son up for cello lessons. We couldnt be happier with this decision! Initially we were hesitant to sign up because neither parent had experience playing a stringed instrument, and did not know if this would affect practice at home during the week. We were also concerned about costs of lessons in addition to instrument rental, and our sons young age. Attila answered all of our questions, made the whole process simple and economical for us. Attila invites parents and siblings to sit in on lessons. It has made us more comfortable assisting our child with tuning his instrument and reminding him about things like posture, how to hold the bow, etc.We have been so impressed with Attilas teaching style and the connection he has already made with our child. Lessons are engaging and fun, yet laying a beautiful foundation for technical skill. Lesson pace has been just right for our child. Attila encourages polishing a piece and is not rushing him through content. He is using technology to enhance our lesson experience by recording each lesson for us to go back and listen to later at home. Attila has also introduced cello games for the ipad to keep our son engaged in practice at home. He follows up via email with detailed lesson notes and is always readily available for any questions that come up.Moms favorite part of lessons is when Attila will duet with our son from basic things like scales to the pieces being studied. It is a joy to hear him play or improvise even the simplest pieces with our child. Very inspirational for our child to see and hear.If you or your child are considering trying the cello, stop researching teachers because youve found an excellent one! We are so glad to have met Attila and look forward to watching our sons journey with his teacher and this beautiful instrument unfold.

Attila is an amazing teacher. A year and a half ago he was teaching me how to sit and hold a cello, and now he is teaching me about the Bach cello suites.That is what is so wonderful about him. He encourages you to make progress and move forward in your lessons without being pushy. If you do happen to get stuck he helps you work through it and doesn't let you get discouraged. He is super organized and he lets you know exactly what to work on each week. He is very nice and wants you to do well. There was one time that I had broken a string right before a lesson and he took one of his own strings and let me borrow it just so I could get through the lesson. I couldn't ask for a better teacher!

I decided to pursue my dream of learning to play the cello starting later in life as an adult student. Initially I tried to teach myself using my musical background in piano but quickly learned there is so much more to playing the cello than being able to read music. Technique is a huge part involved that I am able to learn and practice from his teachings. Attila also records each lesson which is very helpful to go back to and review. Although it is not easy, Attila has the amazing ability to make lessons fun as well as challenging and tailors each lesson to help achieve playing goal. I highly recommend Attila as a cello instructor and am looking forward to continuing to improve my playing with his help.
