FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our pricing depends on the amount of work involved, the condition of your books, transaction volume, number of accounts, payroll size, and the services you need. For ongoing bookkeeping and payroll, we generally use a fixed monthly fee so you know the cost before work begins. Cleanup projects and tax returns are quoted separately after we review the situation. We can also bundle bookkeeping, payroll, and business tax preparation when it makes sense. There are no surprise charges. The scope and price are agreed on upfront.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start with a short conversation about your business, what you need help with, and what is currently causing problems. For bookkeeping clients, we usually review the accounting file, bank and credit-card accounts, payroll setup, and the current condition of the books. We then explain what needs to be done and provide a clear proposal. Once you decide to move forward, we complete onboarding, collect access securely, and establish a regular schedule for bookkeeping, reports, payroll, and communication. The process can be handled remotely, but we are also based in Charlotte for clients who prefer working with a local company.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a B.A. in Economics and am currently a Juris Doctor candidate. My professional training includes QuickBooks Gold ProAdvisor, Intuit Certified Bookkeeper, QuickBooks Online Levels 1 and 2, Intuit Enterprise Suite, and Client Advisory Services Foundations certifications. I also hold an active IRS PTIN for tax preparation. Before starting Steady, I spent more than 15 years in business leadership, sales, operations, and entrepreneurship. That experience helps me understand the practical side of running a company, not just the numbers.
