Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I offer complete HVAC repair and installation services. I also offer electrical and plumbing services, including water heaters. My primary goal is to make you and your family comfortable again when your system(s) fail. I diagnose the problem and convey to you my cost to make the repair. If it's not cost-effective to make the repair, I present this to you in an honest and respectful manner and discuss with you the available options. There are two things I don't do: 1) First and foremost, I don't take advantage of the fact that I may be more knowledgeable about HVAC, Electrical, & Plumbing than you and then coerce, pressure, or otherwise deceive you, 2) I don't try to upsell you on everything under the sun; things that in most cases you don't need. In most cases, my prices are cheaper than other HVAC, Electrical, & Plumbing companies. I'm a very detail-oriented person and many of the extras I provide, my customers rarely see. I treat the job I do for you and your family as if I were doing it for my own family. Also, I completely guarantee the lowest price and your satisfaction! My background: I'm a graduate of NC State University with BS degrees in Electrical & Computer Engineering and Computer Science. I've been doing residential and light commercial HVAC work for 22 years and electrical and plumbing for 35 years. I've mentored under some of the absolute best masters in the business!

Had one HVAC company that was performing some preventative maintenance indicate that I needed to spend $500 to replace blower in attic air handler since bearing was leaking oil. They indicated that the bearing would eventually seize and that I wouldn't want that to happen in middle of summer. They recommended that I replace it. I declined and had John come to inspect the blower. He could find no oil and indicated that he could not find anything wrong with the blower. I would highly recommend John as he is; professional, knowledgeable and above all else honest.

It was a pleasure to do business with John. I live in California and was informed by my Charlotte, NC tenant that there was a problem with the air conditioner. John was prompt, professional, knowledgeable & honest. He was straight to the point and didn't try to sell me on any unnecessary repairs. Great stress free experience and outstanding service. I would highly recommend John! It's a plus to know that he is also a handyman.

My central air went out. called different companies to come out. Mr. Mullins came out and was upfront. The unit was 17 years old and I knew it would need replacement. Other companies only wanted to send out a glorified salesman to sell me what I did not need. Mr. Mullins provided excellent service. He was professional and respectful of my property. Informed me up front of the total cost, no surprises. I told him what I could afford and he worked with me on the cost. He worked extremely hard and finished the install in a timely manner. Even told me that an original part was the wrong size and he had to come back to replace it, which he did. He could have never told me and I would have not known as the install was working with the "fix" he put in place until he replaced it. Will continue to use him for all my HVAC needs in the future. Why pay these well known companies a big price when you can get the same (if not better) service for much less?! Highly recommend Mr. Mullins for your HVAC needs.

FAQs

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

The most common types of jobs I do for my customers are air conditioning and heating repairs and installations, auto repairs, and home repairs. However, I do more air conditioning and heating installations, repairs, and services than anything else.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

My advice is to shop around for the best price. After shopping around and you have some information and prices in hand that you're comfortable with, invite the person, or persons, to your home for a meet and greet and to provide you with an estimate. Unfortunately, there are a lot of dishonest people in my line of work and I've seen it first hand many, many times. Trust your instincts when you meet people that you may hire to work for you. Most of the time if you have an uneasy feeling about a worker, your instincts are probably right!
