Music Theory Lessons
I really enjoyed my Music Theory and Guitar lessons with John. You can tell right away that he has a great understanding of music and knows a large variety of genres/songs. With him I learned how music is pieced together to create harmonious sounds. As well, I learned a good general knowledge of playing guitar; and with continued practice, can pick it up whenever I feel and just jam. I highly recommend John to anyone wanting to advance their musical knowledge, playing or otherwise. He is patient, well versed and just a really nice person to learn from. 🙂Dec 29, 2018Verified
Ukulele Lessons (for adults)
John is professional and thorough. So glad I signed up for lessons with him!Apr 2, 2018Verified
So far I enjoyed my three lessons with John and I continuously look forward to every one. He encourages me on my progress, gives me strategies to improve, and personalizes each lesson. John sends follow up notes after every session that summarize the session, give advice on technique, and outline practice assignments for the week, which are especially helpful to me. I also enjoy the interesting historical facts he shares about the pieces I am playing. It helps to increase my music appreciation and gives context to the pieces. All of these factors positivelyinfluence my practice time during and beyond the session times.Sep 15, 2017Verified
Guitar Lessons (for children or teenagers)
Mr. Bishop is an amazing instructor. He is very patient with my two daughters. They love learning to play the ukulele and look forward to their lessons each week. Mr. Bishop is careful to instruct each of them on their own level and is very encouraging. The have learned to play several chords and songs in just a few short weeks. He challenges them appropriately and they have enjoyed learning to read music. I highly recommend Mr. Bishop. Our cat, August loves him too!Jun 12, 2017Verified
