Quick summary: These guys gave me the best price. With great value, however, quality takes a hit. If you’re hands-off and not super picky, this company will get the job done quickly but maybe not super cleanly.
Details and caveats:
There were headaches on both sides. On my end, I probably have higher standards than most, and I’m very attentive to detail so I am able to find a lot of mistakes. They probably grew tired of my feedback, but I’ve worked with other contractors who are way more understanding and genuinely care about you being happy. This company schedules a lot of jobs so they don’t have enough time to ensure complete satisfaction for someone with higher standards.
In fairness, I was also pretty hands-off. My wife and I vacated the house for several weeks to let these guys work. I would remotely unlock the house and they’d come in to work. They can be trusted but I did have cameras in my house to make sure they stayed in the general work area.
Quality:
This company has subcontractors and the different teams have various levels of workmanship. One of their main installers worked very quickly on a staircase, but his work was sloppy. Other teams and his supervisor had to fix multiple steps and risers that were badly cut. Originally they were going to just caulk and hide the faults, but I was adamant that they fix it. For the main floor, there were a few gaps (not related to the beveled nature of the prefinished wood) and some places had holes that they didn’t even put wood filler even though they said they would.
Their other install team and the stainer is great. They’re attentive to detail and will offer great suggestions as if it’s their home. If the whole team were like this, I probably wouldn’t have written this mixed review.
Communication:
Andres is a good and decent person. Very knowledgeable. He’s responsive and amenable to fixing things (which shouldn’t have been wrong in the first place), but I definitely had to walk a fine line to not annoy him and the team. Again, I was not used to this after working with another contractor who was very patient and understanding with fixing what I commented on. Maybe it’s a personality thing, or they just had a lot of other work to finish too. They did fix mostly everything but it took a lot of prodding and careful conversation.
Final verdict:
When you’re spending several thousand on hardwood install you expect a certain level of quality. Next time, I’ll pay a couple thousand more to save some headaches. If you’re looking for decent value and aren’t super particular, these guys will likely bring you satisfaction.

I absolutely love my new laminate floors done by Workzy Contractors. They started on Friday and were done by Saturday. They removed my old glued down floors and placed the new floors down. They were efficient, fast and very accommodating.
