FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Due to the wide variety of photography projects, there isn't an easy 'standard' pricing system. We do have a base hourly rate for each type of photography service, dependent on factors such as, location, equipment needed, and number of staff members required. These hourly rates can vary due to specific dates, demand, or special requests by the client. (In other words, if you want us to rent a Ferrari for a shoot on Christmas Day that requires 5 staff members and a wildlife expert to handle Mike Tyson's pet tiger, then it's probably going to be a little more expensive than if you want an outdoor group shot of your office staff at the local park on a Tuesday afternoon.)
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When working with a new customer, we prefer to have a telephone consultation to gather information about the project. Then, we typically have an in-person meeting, when possible, to go over the direction of the ideas that have been discussed. Once everyone has a clear direction of the project, we will begin working on it.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
How does anyone get started in photography? I bought a 'really expensive camera' and thought I was a pro. Now, all these years and mistakes (learning experiences as we refer to them) later, I realize that $600 was one of the cheapest investments that I would ever make in this industry. Since coming into the industry, I have been trained by several highly-renowned photographers, helping me get to where I am now.
