FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Every job is different and the same is for every tree service. Given 2 trees exactly the same size and species, factors which will effect pricing are the challenges that must be worked around. Is the tree near a house, power lines, septic system, etc? The cost for a tree to be cut down in an open field will not be the same as the tree against a house with the back deck built around it.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
At the very least I like to see pictures and a description of the job site prior to giving a bid. I prefer to meet with you to discuss what you would like to be done. However, if the pictures are a good representation of the area then I won't have a problem giving a quote prior to arrival. If I arrive and see something that would affect a price change or I feel I am unable to complete the job safely and properly I will contact you first.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am learning everything I can in this industry from climbing to pruning to job site management. I have been very fortunate to work with a friend who has had his tree service for nearly 10 years and I've had the opportunity to learn a wealth of knowledge from a certified arborist he contracts. I'm currently studying to obtain my arborist certification on my own time.
