I am passionate about nurturing and creating sacred moments that reflect and celebrate the unique beauty of each story! I honor my clients by expressing and hilighting their priorities, beliefs, and spirituality. As an ordained Alliance of Baptist minister, married queer person, hospital chaplain, and pastoral counselor - I have training and experience that informs my authentic, inclusive, and respectful approach. WEDDINGS -- I offer pre-marital counseling, collaborative service planning, and officiating wedding ceremonies. I welcome work with ALL couples. SERVICES -- I am available for other types of services such as funerals and celebrations of life, as well as pet and baby blessings. Rev. Tara was amazing for our Celebration of Life Ceremony! She worked with the whole family to make sure to honor the family's wishes. Rev Tara did her research to ensure her sermon was very personalized and captured the spirit of who our mother was even though she never got the chance to meet her. She was so easy to talk to, open up to, be comfortable with and felt like we had known her our whole lives. We cannot thank her enough for all she did for our family!

We could not have chosen a better wedding officiant than Tara! She was punctual, professional, and extremely helpful in working with us to determine what we most wanted for our wedding ceremony. She's warm, considerate, and endlessly accommodating. Tara was able to remove heaps of stress from the weeks leading up to our wedding with her calming energy and eagerness to take whatever she could off our plates. Cannot say enough good things.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Standard Fees: Ceremony - $300 1h Counseling Session - $120 (telehealth counseling, only for clients in NC) Travel - determined by distance, free within 30mi Fees are negotiable ahead of booking. Please don't hesitate to reach out, especially if cost is your only barrier.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, we schedule a free 15 minute consultation - a phone call to chat about what you are seeking, and consider options for working together. We will also discuss fees and, if we decide to move forward, schedule our first meeting.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I’ve had the privilege of providing interfaith spiritual care to a wide variety of people for over 14 years. I’ve nurtured community, provided counsel, and support as a church minister, hospital and university chaplain, as well as in non-profit, international ministry, community development, and corporate settings. Formal Education / Certification: Ordained Minister with the Alliance of Baptists ('19) Master of Divinity from Campbell University ('16) BS in Psychology from Gardner-Webb University ('12)
