FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We use Xactimate, the Insurance Industry recognized, cost-based automated system. Xactimate is updated monthly to reflect any regional cost changes for materials and labor for the various activities performed in the restoration and construction industries. The restorer/contractor then logs each activity performed on a project and the system assigns the appropriate cost for that activity. At the end of the project, these costs are tallied, ensuring the homeowner and/or their insurance carrier is charged only the industry accepted rate for that project.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
One of the strengths of the Puroclean system is it's emphasis on continuing education for the owners and the technicians. At our headquarters in Tamarac, FL we have one of the few "Flood Houses" in North America, which allows the trainees to experience a water damaged house first hand. IICRC certified classes are presented regularly in our training facility along with regularly scheduled regional meetings that include additional training on various topics as well as presentations by vendor partners on complimentary products and technologies. We also have a monthly newsletter and various webcasts that keep us up-to-date on the latest developments. Last but not least, our Regional Directors visit us regularly to provide on-the-job training on new products and processes on a regular basis.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Water and water related claims are the most common because of the many opportunities for problems with water heaters, dishwashers, ice makers, washers, toilets and water pipes. Also most fire restoration projects have a water element as well, because water was used to control the initial fire. Lastly, since mold is caused by excess moisture, these projects can also include a water element too.
