Vibrant Memories Photography
About this pro
I spend careful time creating custom crops, applying interesting effects, and delivering a truly boutique product from a studio or on-location shoot. I teach frequent classes in the area at the ArtsCenter in Carrboro (where I teach most of my classes, such as introductory and advanced photography, photographic workflow with Adobe Photoshop Lightroom, and various workshops), Duke University, Town of Cary, ArtSpace in Raleigh, and others. I love capturing moments for families, brides, and clients in general that they fall in love with. I have been teaching photography since January 2005, and love seeing the world through my students' images.
12 years in business
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I always like to start with a firm understanding of her/his needs and then tailor a photographic plan and pricing.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Ever since I took a photography class in 7th grade, I have attended numerous lectures and seminars. I was a member for some years of Professional Photographers of NC and enjoy their annual convention with many speakers. I've given seminars for Photographic Society of the Triangle about Adobe Photoshop Lightroom.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?I have been photographing most of my life. When I was quite young, perhaps 2nd or 3rd grade, my Dad gave me a serious Minolta rangefinder camera that was one of the first cameras that had manual, semi-automatic, and automatic exposure modes. I went on to be the school's basketball team photographer, to take a darkroom class in 7th grade, and to be a strong hobbyist. I finally went "pro" in 2006.
