What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I stay engaged with the latest training resources from Adobe, RedGiant, Maxon, DigitalTutors, and many more. I also use regular training exorcises (like redesigning logos I see everyday) to keep my creative skills fresh.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
As a child David Attenborough was my greatest hero. His work in documentary film with the BBC is what inspired me to follow a career path into video and film.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with a broad range of clients including fortune 500 companies and private citizens. My client list includes the AKC, BB&T, IBM, Duke University, UNC Chapel Hill, LivingSocial, and John Deere. I've designed graphics and animations for launch parties and NFL stadiums as well as movies and television.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
At the end of 2013 I worked with Duke University to develop and animate a really interesting piece for annual donors. We used a forced parallax effect by breaking apart flat, still images from the university's history to walk viewers through all the projects that annual donations have made possible over the years.
