- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My process is simple: 1. Gather Information – I confirm the type of document(s), number of signers, location, and preferred appointment time. 2. Verify Requirements – I ensure all signers have valid, unexpired government-issued photo identification and determine whether witnesses are required. 3. Provide a Quote – I give a clear fee based on the service requested, travel distance, and any additional requirements. 4. Schedule the Appointment – Once the details are confirmed, I reserve the appointment time. 5. Complete the Signing – I meet the signer(s), verify identity, witness signatures as required, and perform the notarization. 6. Finalize the Appointment – If requested, I provide scan-backs, shipping assistance, or other agreed-upon services. Payment is due at the time of service.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I’ve been a notary for over two years and started my business after recognizing the opportunity to help people who need convenient, professional notarization services. As a full-time educator, I wanted to create a business that allows me to serve my community during evenings, weekends, and school breaks while building something of my own. What began as research into an additional income stream quickly became a passion for helping clients with important documents and signings.
