I worked with TruBlue Renovations over the course of six months in 2018 on several different home repairs. I wrote this review at the time of hiring TruBlue but never posted it. Now as I’m selling this home, the anger and damage this company caused is all too fresh again. They deserve this review and YOU- the customer- deserve to know who you hire. I hired TruBlue for new kitchen flooring, roof repair, chimney repair, and ceiling repair. Overall, I am extraordinarily disappointed in the professionalism, competency, value, consistency, and quality of this company. Short version: The contractors routinely missed appointments, performed low quality work, left repairs unfinished, misdiagnosed issues, and left the house in complete disarray. The owner also was inconsistent in his responses, and had the audacity to demand additional payment to complete services his employees left unfinished. Long and detailed version: The owner, Brian, seems very nice and willing to work with the customer. However, after Brian leaves, is where it all falls apart. Brian subcontracts all of the work, similar to a pit boss working different crews for different projects. As the project manager, he did not seem to have any control over his crews. The first project that Brian‘s people did for me was a kitchen floor replacement following water damage. Brian estimated this project would take four days. The project took well over a week and a half and resulted in dust being spread throughout the entire house as the workers use the garage to cut tile without closing the door into the house. Brian profusely apologized and said that he would have his cleaning ladies take care of it. That never happened, and several tiles came loose within two weeks of their project completion. Now, less than 2 years later, I have to spend an additional $2,000 repairing TruBlue’s “work” in order to sell the house. At around the same time, I hired Brian to repair a ceiling leak. One of his employees came to the home and diagnosed the leak as a roofing issue. Subsequently, I paid several thousand dollars for the roof to be patched. Then, another crew came to repair the ceiling; a piece of ceiling was cut out, patched, and painted over (in the wrong color). Unfortunately, the roof repair did not fix the leak and the next time it rained, the ceiling began to leak again in the same spot. After several attempts to have a crew come and re-look at the issue, I had a set appointment and I waited at my house after leaving work early for several hours- no one showed up. I informed Brian that this was unacceptable, and he gave me assurances that it would not happen again. Weeks later, another crew showed up and re-diagnosed the leak as a siding issue, not a roofing issue. They promptly repaired the siding which fixed the leak. However, this left the issue of a improperly painted, and miscolored ceiling yet to be repaired. After several attempts to have someone come to the house, Brian and I spoke by phone. He demanded additional payment of $500 for the siding repair, despite the fact that the initial roof repair was only completed due to a misdiagnosis of the issue by his crew. At this point, I am doubting the entire need for a roof repair as I never physically got on the roof to see what the damage allegedly was. Regardless, I informed Brian that I was uncomfortable with an additional payment given that this was an error by his crew that I am not responsible for. Brian asked if I could meet him halfway at $250. I let him know that I was deploying soon, and would agree to those terms if the work could be done in the next few days. We agreed. The following day, Brian called and said that he had a painter ready to go. We agreed on 3 PM. I left work early again to be home at 3pm. Again- no show. At 3:30pm I told Brian that I could not wait hours for a no-show again, and prepared to go back to work. At exactly 4 o’clock, I left the house and met the painter at the front door. I thanked him but said his services would not be needed. In conclusion, working with TruBlue has been a nightmare. I would not recommend this company to anyone and would highly suggest seeking out individual contractors for specific projects rather than choosing someone like Brian who runs a rag-tag gang of unqualified handymen to make him money.

Not give ridiculously high quote and not have customer having to call ten days later for quote when it was promised 48 hours after consultation. Customer service could have also been better. Don't really enjoy my wife condescended to

Communication and Professionalism is paramount throughout our process. Give a fair estimate followed by a detailed contract. We begin production upon the customers deposit and collect final payment upon completion.

I have 22 years of military training in a highly technical career working on Aircraft. I also have a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration.
