What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your date and time. I have set pricing for all services, but I understand that budgets vary — I'm always willing to have an honest conversation to find something that works for both of us. Travel fees may apply for locations beyond my standard radius, depending on the type of session. Feel free to ask about your specific location when you reach out.
Please note that I don't photograph services held in churches or other religious venues, holiday events, or birthday parties. If you're unsure whether your event qualifies, just ask — I'm happy to clarify before you book.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
As soon as I receive your inquiry, I'll reach out via Thumbtack message and follow up with a phone call to briefly introduce myself and get a feel for what you need. If I can't reach you, I'll leave a voicemail and follow up by text or Thumbtack message. That initial conversation also serves as your consultation — we'll go over my work, session details, and pricing right then and there, so there's no extra scheduling step. Once you're ready to move forward, I'll send over a contract and invoice to get everything official. After your session, I'll edit and deliver your photos to a private online gallery for viewing and downloading.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have an A.A.S. in Digital Photography from Southern New Hampshire University and over seven years of hands-on experience across portraits, weddings, commercial work, events, and more. Photography is something I've built from the ground up, and that real-world experience shows in how I work with clients on the day of their session.
