Joel obviously has a lot of experience training and working with dogs! We can't wait to continue working with him!Sep 1, 2019Verified
Joel helped train our rescue. We were having so many issues with him. He helped train him into the dog we wanted.Jun 18, 2019Verified
Joel incredibly friendly, kind, and committed to training dogs. The change in my dog was exponential after Joel finished training and she is happier for it! His experience is incredible and his love for dogs is enormous!Jul 23, 2019Verified
Joel was very nice to my husband, our dog (Tobin) and myself. He did his best with Tobin and tried to make a relationship with her. She has had a rough past with men. The last training session Tobin finally wanted to warm up to Joel. Although she was skiddish around him, Joel still took her for walks and trained her well on the leash. Tobin has improved with her walking and the heel command.May 14, 2019Verified
Joel was amazing with our spirited puppy. We had gone through two rounds of petsmart training, and she was still a handful. Joel's focused training was exactly what she needed, and we saw positive behavioral changes after the second session. Joel is so caring with dogs, and the right amount of tough with the owners. He not only taught our puppy, he taught us what to do to ensure her success.Jun 27, 2019Verified
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I will do an unlimited number of thirty minute training sessions, until the client is satisfied with the results. The exception is when a dog has been diagnosed with a Neurosis and is referred to a Veterinarian for treatment.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I first do a Behavioral Evaluation in order to see what the real issues are and make a plan to resolve them in the kindest and most gentle way!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Of course, hands on training is the best teacher. However, I am CPDT-KA and CCPDT-KA certified & a member of of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers (APDT). Also, I am constantly studying videos and other training media to enhance my skills!
