HELLO! I am a retired USAF veteran with 23+ years experience as a technician. I just recently went out on my own after 7 years with a company servicing physical therapy equipment. PT equipment is commercial grade fitness equipment, so I have 7 years as a technician and manager under my belt. I can assemble, I can troubleshoot and repair and I know where I can find parts if they are still available. I am trained on Woodway treadmills, The entire Matrix line of equipment, Alter G treadmills, and have completed jobs on the side for the past few years on Spirit treadmills and equipment, Life Fitness and many others! If I could give 10 stars I would. We had a Paramount Functional Trainer we needed to be assembled. From first contact with Dave on Thumbtack, communication was simple, easy, straightforward, and responsive. Dave arrived on time and got right to work. We had instructions on how to assemble the machine. However, Dave was able to figure out most of the assembly without the instructions. Amazing!! When it comes to fitness equipment assembly, Dave knows his stuff and has worked with numerous brands of equipment. If you have fitness equipment that needs assembling and are unsure you can assemble it yourself, don’t hesitate to contact Dave. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I specialize in fitness equipment, NOT just assembly! I charge $60/hour labor and $40/hour travel on fitness equipment repair/assembly/disassembly jobs. Effective on all jobs after 1 May 2025 I add on $25 to any job if you would like me to dispose of an item or packaging. For veterans and first responders, 10% discount with proof of veteran or first responder status

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
20 years in the USAF, 16 of those as a technician. 7 years as a physical therapy equipment technician, field service manager and lead. I have a BS degree in Industrial Technology/Engineering as well Fitness Equipment is what I do, a niche to be sure!
