Introduction: I am an accomplished pianist with a passion to share my love for music, and specifically the piano, with others. I have been playing piano for nearly thirty years (started when I was 5). I have taught cumulatively for six years. I have been a church pianist or assistant church pianist for approximately fifteen years. I have accompanied professional groups such as St. Lucia's Choir and the West Atlanta and Douglasville Choral Society. Music affects every aspect of a person's life. Learning to play the piano teaches diligence, artistry, imagination, correctness, respect, determination, self-confidence and much more. As a teacher, I have the distinct pleasure of watching my students progress in each of these areas. Watching the student's eyes light up when they understand a new concept or hold their head high when they have mastered a difficult song floods my heart with joy. Teaching, or rather inspiring, others is the most rewarding opportunity in life.

Miss Jennie does a tremendous job teaching piano to my 5 yr old. Before beginning, I was concerned my daughter may become bored or not want to follow through. Miss Jennie makes it fun and my daughter looks forward to learning more!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Lessons are for 30 minutes once a week. Lessons are $30 each and paid for at the beginning of each month. Students may provide their own books or bring money to their first lesson and I will provide books.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Upon initial contact with a new customer, I seek what their goals are concerning piano and provide information concerning my policies and goals. Next, at the first lesson, I ascertain the level of ability the student is at and how best to proceed to reach their goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have taken piano lessons for fifteen years myself, including a semester in college.
