Introduction: My Yoga training is diverse. Have received teachings from both western physical (Hatha) style Yoga and also eastern Yoga (therapy) training with lineage to classical Indian Yoga. Yoga Therapy is using the mind-body connection to increase energy and relieve stress and pain.

This could be a very long review because Ross Butterworth is the very best yoga instructor!! Ross can walk into any class and just know what the students need. He doesn't just call out poses. He talks through the whole class, while doing the poses himself AND watching each student. He offers help when needed. We do a lot of different yoga breathing exercises, learn about meditation, and balancing our bodies. I was in an auto accident over 3 years ago. Ross's yoga classes have been a tremendous help while on my road to recovery. I am still working through that trauma with the help of Ross's yoga. I am sure I would be taking the strong pain meds. prescribed by my physician if I had not continued with yoga even when I didn't feel like going. Yoga is now a part of my life thanks to Ross!

I started going to yoga with Ross Butterworth back in 2006 after lumbar back fusion left me with less mobility and constant pain. I had been to traditional physical therapy for several years and taken loads of pain meds. My sister who had practiced yoga for many years encouraged me to go with her. I was afraid they would make me do things that would hurt and twist me into a pretzel. The opposite was true. Ross honors every persons level of ability and comfort. He modifies all the positions and actions. He encourages each person to do only what they can for that day , all the while moving you along to a stronger calmer self. He is very knowledgable of human anatomy and doesn't push past possibilities. His classes are peaceful energetic and just plain fun. I went from not being able to lay on my belly because of the pressure on my back to being able to do cobra . It was not overnight it was over a year and a half but I had not had that success in 6 years of physical therapy. I continued to go and grew stronger throughout my body and learned a calmness from the philosophy of yoga. It has made all the difference in my life.

Yoga is more than exercise. It is a practice of restorative stretching, toning, and strengthening as well as a method for releasing stress and inner thoughts through a healing set of poses. Ross is a compassionate teacher who encourages students to reach for their potential. His classes are fun because of his style builds camaraderie among students and the combined energies heighten the experience.

This is the best thing that has happen to me, to have a Yoga class in a small town. I feel so lucky to know Ross Butterworth. He is the best teacher every. Yoga has help me,I'm am a lot stronger and I feel so must better. I look forward every week to go to my yoga class. Thanks again for all you do for us Ross!
