Introduction: EXPERIENCE o Over 30 years working with animals (farm yard and pets) o It is my life, not extra cash. o I work with rescue groups. o I understand cats. o I have 6 dogs. (They are all rescues) 3 are certified Therapy Dogs 4 have obedience certificates (Canine Good Citizen ) o I grew up on a farm. I KNOW BREEDS. Each behaves differently: A shaking Chihuahua means something different than a shaking Beagle. Greetings are friendly and happy with a Labrador. I ignore Chihuahuas at the beginning and let them come to me. (They love me.) I RESEARCH EVERYDAY. The people. It is a special breed that includes animals in their daily life. It takes an understanding of a creature that is very different from us and the willingness to care for it.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge by the visit, not the # of pets. (within reason) There is no extra charge for medicine or most special requests. Pricing for pet sitting is $15 per regular visit. Christmas and Thanksgiving are $20 per visit on that day. Overnight visits are $75 which includes both the night and morning visits. Poop scooping depends on the # of dogs, the frequency of the visits, and the size of the yard. Prices start at $12.50 per week for one dog.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes I do! I increase my knowledge daily. I research diseases, behavior, breeds, safety, etc just to name a few. I investigate any diseases that might be affecting pets in my area. I keep my customers updated to help keep their pets happy. I also recommend toys and brain puzzlers. Every day I learn more about pets and I love it.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
There are so many. But if I have to choose one it would be the time that was the most difficult. I helped a furry friend in her final hours. I found her on the floor and stayed with her until a member of the family was able to be there. I then stayed with both of them. Although it was heart wrenching it was wonderful to be able to comfort both of them during that terrible time.
