Seasoned Professionals As seasoned wedding professionals, we've photographed weddings across the Carolinas from Lake Lure's famous 1927 Lake Lure Inn to the elegant Starmount Forest Country Club in Greensboro, NC to St. Peters Catholic Church in Columbia, SC. We are well-versed and experienced photographing in different lighting environments and situations. Ryan and Abby were very pleasant, friendly, and easy to work with. They were willing to go above and beyond (literally - they climbed a steep trail up a mountain to take some great pictures for us). They got the pictures to us in a timely manner, and the photos turned out great!

Abby and Ryan were absolutely incredible! We hired them for our engagement shoot and wedding photography and could not be more pleased with their professionalism, dependability, and attention to detail. From the moment I put out a request on Thumbtack, Abby was extremely responsive to each of my inquiries and questions. They offered to shoot our engagement shoot anywhere within four hours of their hometown. If you live in North Carolina, this means you have the luxury of shooting practically anywhere from the mountains to almost the coast! They also offered to go to multiple locations, which we did. I should also mention that we had to reschedule our engagement shoot 4 times because it literally rained every time we tried to shoot. But they didn't mind and were happy to keep rescheduling until we had good weather! As for the wedding, Abby and Ryan were there early and did a great job of directing our family for all the group photos. They also did a great job shooting during the ceremony and reception without ever being "in the way." We both had family members travel from very far for our wedding and Abby and Ryan gladly took extra photos of different family groups. We essentially got a family reunion photoshoot out of the package! When I was searching for a wedding photographer, I was *ideally* hoping to have 2 photographers to be able to capture our day from 2 different angles. Usually, this means a significant increase in price since the primary photographer usually has to hire a partner. However, Abby and Ryan are a husband and wife duo so they come as a package deal and work well together. They also have a 3rd camera, remote controlled by Ryan's camera, which offered shots from a 3rd angle. Their prices are incredible for the work and value they offer. Most importantly, they were DEPENDABLE. I cannot stress that part enough. When you're planning a wedding, you are juggling multiple vendors - your ceremony site, reception site (if they're different), caterer, flowers, DJ, and any number of other moving parts that you hope go "according to plan," not to mention the stress of all your extended family from both sides all in the same place on your wedding day. It is a true gift when you know you don't have to stress about your photographers showing up. Thank you to Abby and Ryan for a SPECTACULAR experience! We would hire them again in a heartbeat! ...Except we don't plan to get married again anytime soon. ;)

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
Every year, we volunteer with Camp Luck, a camp designed to educate and support children with CHD (Congenital Heart Defect); Camp Luck is sponsored by Levine Cardiac Hospital. We provide all photography services for the camp free of charge. We are looking forward to photographing this year's camp!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
When looking for a wedding photographer, you want to ensure that you are comfortable being around him or her since this person will be with you constantly on your wedding day. We recommend setting up an in-person meeting to see if the service provider is the right fit for you. Also, look for a provider who is open to your ideas and wants to get to know you, your likes and dislikes. Getting to know our couples is super important in creating photographs that are totally you!
