Seasoned Professionals As seasoned wedding professionals, we've photographed weddings across the Carolinas from Lake Lure's famous 1927 Lake Lure Inn to the elegant Starmount Forest Country Club in Greensboro, NC to St. Peters Catholic Church in Columbia, SC. We are well-versed and experienced photographing in different lighting environments and situations. We would highly recommend Aureola Spectrum Photography! Abby and Ryan are great at what they do and so easy to work with. We used them for our engagement pictures and to photograph our wedding and we were beyond happy with the pictures they took. My main request for our engagement pictures was that I wanted our dog in them so I wanted someone comfortable photographing dogs , they were so great with her and I was blown away by the pictures they got of her! I am also in love with all of our wedding pictures and couldn't have asked for better ones. They were very dependable and are also very prompt at responding back to e-mails and questions which I really appreciated. I loved the fact that they are a husband-wife team so Ryan was able to be with the groomsmen while getting ready and Abby was able to be with the bridesmaids. They are super flexible,patient, and helpful. They came up with great ideas for poses as well as capturing any that we came up with. They also always got our pictures back to us way faster than I was expecting. Their prices are very reasonable as well. I could not recommend them enough! We couldn't be more happy with our choice in choosing them to photograph our special day!

Working with Abby and Ryan was an absolutely amazing experience! After our original photographer found out they were due to have a baby around the time of our wedding, we quickly went into panic mode trying to find a equally exception photography team to capture our wedding. I never imagined finding such a perfect pair online - and that's exactly what we found in Abby & Ryan. We wouldn't have wanted anyone else to share our day and preserve our memories. Abby and Ryan were accommodating, flexible, creative, patient and understanding. They seemed to capture all the action without being in the way or a helicopter hovering over. They were incredible, made sure to capture everything we wanted and even threw in their own creative ideas to the mix to make for a complete and wonderful experience. Have no doubts if you are considering hiring them for your event... they will not let you down... they will beat your expectations!

Ryan and Abby work so well together! They photographed my wedding in lancaster SC.. It was an all day event and they took so many wonderful pictures! It took them about 4-5 weeks to get my pictures up on their website which is amazing being that the wedding was in October and that is peak wedding season! They took pictures of everything and it really helped to capture the day! :) they are worth every penny! :)

Abby and Ryan were absolutely incredible! We hired them for our engagement shoot and wedding photography and could not be more pleased with their professionalism, dependability, and attention to detail. From the moment I put out a request on Thumbtack, Abby was extremely responsive to each of my inquiries and questions. They offered to shoot our engagement shoot anywhere within four hours of their hometown. If you live in North Carolina, this means you have the luxury of shooting practically anywhere from the mountains to almost the coast! They also offered to go to multiple locations, which we did. I should also mention that we had to reschedule our engagement shoot 4 times because it literally rained every time we tried to shoot. But they didn't mind and were happy to keep rescheduling until we had good weather! As for the wedding, Abby and Ryan were there early and did a great job of directing our family for all the group photos. They also did a great job shooting during the ceremony and reception without ever being "in the way." We both had family members travel from very far for our wedding and Abby and Ryan gladly took extra photos of different family groups. We essentially got a family reunion photoshoot out of the package! When I was searching for a wedding photographer, I was *ideally* hoping to have 2 photographers to be able to capture our day from 2 different angles. Usually, this means a significant increase in price since the primary photographer usually has to hire a partner. However, Abby and Ryan are a husband and wife duo so they come as a package deal and work well together. They also have a 3rd camera, remote controlled by Ryan's camera, which offered shots from a 3rd angle. Their prices are incredible for the work and value they offer. Most importantly, they were DEPENDABLE. I cannot stress that part enough. When you're planning a wedding, you are juggling multiple vendors - your ceremony site, reception site (if they're different), caterer, flowers, DJ, and any number of other moving parts that you hope go "according to plan," not to mention the stress of all your extended family from both sides all in the same place on your wedding day. It is a true gift when you know you don't have to stress about your photographers showing up. Thank you to Abby and Ryan for a SPECTACULAR experience! We would hire them again in a heartbeat! ...Except we don't plan to get married again anytime soon. ;)

I cannot say enough great things about Ryan and Abby (Aureola Spectrum Photography). From the moment I hired them to photograph my daughter's bridal shoot and wedding, I knew I made the right choice. They were very organized, detail oriented, inquired about our likes and dislikes, and stayed in contact with us constantly. They scheduled all of the photo shoots and sent calendar requests so I did not have to worry about these details. They chose Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens for the bridal shoot. It rained all day, but they were very calm, stayed late, came up with great ideas, and the photos were amazing. My daughter was a very anxious bride, but Ryan knew just how to calm her nerves prior to the wedding. They are very professional, yet very personable. They produce high quality photos for an affordable price and provide you with a full copyright release for unlmited prints. You get two creative photographers for less than the price of one. I highly recommend this couple for all of your photography needs! Thanks so much Ryan and Abby for providing us with beautiful photographs and lasting memories of such a special day! I can't wait to work with you again.

    Every year, we volunteer with Camp Luck, a camp designed to educate and support children with CHD (Congenital Heart Defect); Camp Luck is sponsored by Levine Cardiac Hospital. We provide all photography services for the camp free of charge. We are looking forward to photographing this year's camp!

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

    When looking for a wedding photographer, you want to ensure that you are comfortable being around him or her since this person will be with you constantly on your wedding day. We recommend setting up an in-person meeting to see if the service provider is the right fit for you. Also, look for a provider who is open to your ideas and wants to get to know you, your likes and dislikes. Getting to know our couples is super important in creating photographs that are totally you!
