FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing depends on the client. Editorial work will differ greatly from commercial or non-profit.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My goal is to fulfill customers' photographic needs to the fullest. This comes from interviewing clients about what their job specifically entails, in terms of lighting, location, subject matter, time of day and more. I also want to ensure what a client is looking for in terms of the final product: digital files, prints, or DVDs. All job details and expectations are written into a contract.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art with a concentration in Photography and also a Master of Fine Arts degree in Photography. I have worked as a photojournalist for over 25 years, both as a staff photographer (for Newsday & the Journal News) and a freelance photographer for The New York Times, The Associated Press, the New York Daily News & other publications. I have photographed event photography for universities that include: graduation ceremonies, lectures, exhibits, athletics, portraits and other public relations events. In addition, I have taught photography at several universities including: Stony Brook University, Adelphi University, Hofstra University, Columbia University and LIU Post.
