- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Most jobs are given a flat rate quote for the job if the materials are provided; (i.e. if its a paint job and the customer purchases the needed paint and/or primers; or if replacing flooring the customer purchases the flooring they want installed; of general construction of renovation jobs are done the customer would purchase the needed materials such as wood, lumbar, and/or sheet-rock) if we are required tp purchase the materials you will be quoted for the cost of tear outs, removals, and labor plus the cost of materials and expenses. Customer is provided with a detailed list of all needed and/or purchased materials and their price including taxes; customer is provided with a detailed list for the cost of tear outs, removals, and labor costs that outline the number of employees working on the job, their hourly pay rate, and the number of hours we quote you for the time it will take to complete the job) these lists are provided on a spreadsheet and then show the total costs for all the combined charges; if materials are provided then customer is still provided with a detailed break down on a spreadsheet for all the work that will be performed and services that will provided at the quoted price.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am OSHA certified and have received certifications as a fire damage, water damage, smoke damage, and upholstery restoration technician.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I enjoy working with my hands and being able to see the transformation; I like the gratification of a completed project and having the customer be pleased with the quality of work and service they receive.
