Introduction: Reiki is an extremely effective method of treating physical, emotional and mental health situations. However, until we can make ourselves aware of the origin of the problem, we have a tendency to go immediately back into the same environment that caused the trauma. The use of the Enneagram, (a widely accepted method of self-awareness insight,) and EMDR, (Eye Movement Desentitization Progression,) and basic HeartMath, allows the client to come to grips with the underlying problems and can then be dealt with on a more permanent basis. Awareness is Knowledge. The healing process. Working with a client to return to good health, mentally, physically, emotionally. Interfacing with other modality professionals to enhance long term healing through self- awareness. Utilizing the Enneagram, EMDR, and basic HeartMath for emotional and mental stress. EFT and Massage Therapy for physical tension. We are certified by NCBTMB as an aopproved Massage Therapists Provider.

Reiki (first receiving it & then learning it) has literally changed my life. Reiki treatments were an excellent addition to the medical treatment I received for a pituitary tumor & its side effects. Reiki treatments also helped me to heal from the emotional and psychological effects of physical trauma. Through my own practice of Reiki, I have become a calmer, more patient, more loving person. Paul Donovan is a wonderful teacher & my own personal mentor in Reiki. He has created an amazing healing community in Western NC and shares his gifts and talents far & wide. Paul & the other practitioners associated with the Reiki Mountain Center of Natural Healing are true professionals, driven by a desire to help others and to make the world a more peaceful and healthy place for us all. My first Reiki session around 2000 placed me on a totally different spiritual path, one that has been filled with awe and wonder. When I moved to the mountains of N. Georgia in 2003, I met Paul and got very involved with the Reiki share that he was hosting every week. I also had at that time, a very freightening injury to my neck and head. Reiki was the only modality I would allow to be done on me because I know that it is gentle and can only be used for the good. Paul and his group were a Godsend to me and got me back on my feet and out of trauma. Reiki is second nature to me and I use it every day on anything that needs a little...or a lot....of help. I will always be grateful for Paul and his amazing generosity. I have watched him humbly help so many people...and that includes me! Thank you Paul and Ann!

How did you get started doing this type of work?
OUT OF NECESSITY! Five pain clinics made it very clear to me the I was going to have to live in pain for the rest of my life., and it was probably going to get worse. I was on four, high-powered pain pills a day and four muscle relaxers a day, minimum. Completely zombied and unable to do most thing for myself. Reiki gave me back MY life!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
The most basic thing is to remember, that Reiki is a hands-on method of treatment. A Master, in order to properly attune a student must go through a series of, placing symbols into the students hands, head, etc. How long have they been practicing? Not, always a criteria, but may help. Ask for their lineage and go to the internet and trace that lineage Most of all, get bonafide testimonials from a varied group of clients/students.
