I am a military vet and was in extremely good shape until about 5 years ago. I suffered a herniated disc in my lower back and another in my neck. Surgery was recommended but I decided against it. Since then I have had a lot of complications. For a few years I was barely able to walk more than a hundred feet. I saw two chiropractors and a physical therapist. I plateaued at about 50% better with what I thought would be permanent loss of range of motion, and loss of full use of my right leg. I could not exercise, gained weight, and finally gave up. The problems in my neck resulted in migraines several times a month. I started seeing Max about 5 weeks ago. I see him 3 times a week for half an hour of high intensity cardio and stretching. I also review nutrition with him and he keeps me on track. I saw significant results with regards to my back within the first week. I have gone from barely reaching my knees to touching my toes. I could not run more than 1-2 minutes at a time before, and now I have run 3 5ks in the last few weeks! Granted I am still around 13 minute miles, but one step at a time! I have also lost some weight, have my nutrition back on track, and have received several compliments about how my physical appearance has improved. I have only had one migraine in the last 5 weeks and that was during a week that I could not attend training due to an emergency. Results do not happen overnight. It can take a few months to build your body back into shape and learn nutrition to be able to lose weight. Like Max said, it took me years to get out of shape, it will take me some time to get back in to shape. But exercise, weight loss, muscle gain, and even bone and muscle healing get easier as you work on it. As your muscles strengthen, cardiovascular system improves, and weight decreases, these things put less strain on your body so that you can push yourself farther. It is not all about weight loss. Weight loss is the result of good health. Good health comes first. Max has shown me this. He knows how to push me to improve, to give it my all, while healing and restoring my range of motion. He has given me my life back in 5 short weeks. My wife and I are filled with joy. I can run and play with my kids, get out of bed in the morning, and complete work around the house without limping, losing feeling in my right leg, and eventual loss of use of my right leg if I pushed too hard. I plan on staying with Max for another few months to completely build my body back to good health and set me up with good nutrition and a good plan to continue to keep myself in good shape on my own for the rest of my life. I've been training with Elton for about 6 weeks now. During this time I've seen a huge improvement in my strength, cardio and flexibility, and I'm on track for achieving my goals within the timeframe we set at the beginning. Each training session is hard work but so much fun and Elton always checks in on my diet and adjusts the exercises to best suit me. I used to exercise on a regular basis and absolutely loved doing it as often as possible. But due to different circumstances that occurred I gradually began to get further away from doing much of anything. I wanted to get back on track and began working with Laura doing personal training one on one. At our first meeting I immediately felt comfortable in her presence. She is very warm and friendly and personable to work with. We did a cardio warm-up and then went through a series of strength training exercises using ropes, TRX, an exercise ball, free weights, and several other types of equipment. I did the routine twice each session. Laura is very thorough at explaining how to do each exercise and will let you practice it until you feel like you have mastered it. She knows how to gear the correct equipment to your needs and will switch it up accordingly. She is very professional yet makes your workout a fun experience. I look forward to my appointment each week and I feel so good after I finish. It improves my mood so much! She has different types of equipment that I was introduced to and hadn't had the opportunity to try before. And another plus that I love more than anything is being outside!!! Eric is an awesome trainer who focuses on his clients 100% through the workout, ensuring they are taking time to hydrate, catch their breath, and get their heart rate back down between high cardio exercises. I really trust that he will keep me safe and not let me injure myself, and he provides great advice for when I am working out on my own. Also, he checks in with me periodically just to see how I'm doing on my own and it means the world to have that support.

After 6 trainers in 2.5 years with very little change I started working with Renard. In 10 months I've lost 25% of my initial body weight. What I love about our sessions are the combination high impact cardio, core strengthening, endurance and resistance training. He is constantly changing up the routines so it never get monotonous. Outside of his intense scheduled workouts he also stresses complete lifestyle modification that includes healthy dietary changes. For over three years, Luke Hayes was my personal trainer. I highly recommend Luke as a personal trainer and coach. Luke is very well trained in personal training. He worked with me to establish diet and exercise goals and held me accountable by asking for regular updates. Luke gave great advice and had a very encouraging attitude. He varied my training routine through a mix of body weight exercises, weight training, and interval, cardio training. Luke focused on ensuring good form while doing all exercises. During my training, I accomplished my goal of losing pounds and body fat. Luke is very professional and easy to work with. Although my training sessions were challenging, I enjoyed the 30 minutes or 1 hour and knew that Luke was choosing the right routine to help me meet my goals.
Dawn is an awesome trainer and friend! I met Dawn 8 years ago in one of her kickboxing classes and followed her to every gym and class she taught. I come from an athletic background and found her classes exciting and challenging enough to push me to my goals. If you're considering hiring Maggie as your Personal Trainer, do not hesitate. Working with Maggie is such a positive experience. Before we even entered the gym, we had a discussion about my goals. I also had the chance to explain some knee and back issues. She was able to formulate a plan that was designed specifically for me that included knee-friendly cardio and strength training. Over the years I've tried to get serious and "hit the gym". But gyms were always intimidating to me. I don't feel that way now at all. I can walk into any gym and put together a good work out, be comfortable with the equipment, and know that my form is proper. I am a first-time Thumbtack (and Vinnie Papandrea) user, and I am happy to report the experience has been remarkable! I requested a personal trainer to work out with me at my home and help me get some version of my pre-baby body backbefore my 40th birthday, which was six months away. I was connected with Vinnie and began working out a few days later. Vinnie is awesome. We do circuit training with free weights, squats, lunges, jumping jacks, sit ups and lots of other quick, strenuousbut funexercises. I never get bored because we're always changing activities, and my heart rate stays up for the whole hour. The best part? The boxing. At the end we get in 20 minutes of straight cardio with boxing exercises. As an advertising executive and a mom of a really smart and busy three and a half-year-old, I really like burning off calories and extra steam boxing with Vinnie. I don't really enjoy exercising for exercising's sake, but I am having a whole lot of fun getting in shape with Vinnie. He's great at conversation, he's great at kicking your butt when you need it, and he's really great at getting results. I am very happy that I look and feel better after just two months.

When I first started my weight loss journey, I worked out 5 days a week HARD, lots of running, weights and cardio….and guess what happened at the end of 30 days? I GAINED WEIGHT!!! Training with Kayla has been a truly rewarding experience. After taking the time to understand my fitness goals, Kayla put together a workout regimen that challenged my mind and body in ways I would have never been able to do on my own. I walked in to Fit Body Boot Camp a little unsure on how this was going to go. I have tried a few different types of workouts and had not found the fit that was right for me. My first workout was free so I figured what do I have to lose (except weight). This workout kicked my a**. I barely got thru it but with the motivation from the trainer I did. It was one of the hardest workouts that I have done in a long time. I signed up and have not regretted a minute (ok maybe when we have to do burpee's lol). It is intense 30 minute workout that works all areas. Weights and cardio, and no two workouts are the same so you dont get bored, a big bonus for me. The trainers are motivating and tough. They push you to accomplish more than you thought your were able to! I HIGHLY recommend coming to Cary Fit Body Boot Camp! You will be glad you did.
The workouts are challenging, unique, fun. Michelle works hard to hit all body parts, cardio, balance. She watches closely to correct form and ensures each person gets the full benefits of the workout. LOVE IT
James is a very encouraging personal trainer. When I first started the process I was worried about working out and not knowing how to excersize. But James demo started all the moves and incoraged me that getting the form right was important. he also created cardio work outs for me outside of our sessions. Over time I gained confidence and lost ten pounds! I would highly recommend him.
Matt's system of training works so well I have been doing p90x. And he has kept me on track. He literally doesn't sleep or so it seems he is the type of coach that believes in you. And no matter how bad you feel he keeps you motivated. I have been crushing my goals. I dropped from 205 to 195 in 4 wks. And all my maxes are increasing. And my cardio is at the point were I could go run a marathon tomorrow.

And the best part is it is only 30 minutes! I love this because personally I don't want to spend hours and hours in a gym. If I add in my cardio it tacks on another 15 minutes, however don't be fooled - the cardio portion is tough! Darren helped me with a diet plan that I could work on my own to shed body fat while building and maintaining muscle. The plan took 21 days and resulted in a loss of 10 lbs, most of which happened within the first 2 weeks. I'm a fairly active guy, about 6'2", 220 lbs, but I wanted to get down to around 200 lbs even. Darren did a fantastic job in supplying the educational materials necessary to develop and implement a physical fitness plan that I felt worked for me. He made sure that I understood the details of the routine and was available for support and coaching during the 21-day period. Overall, the plan that Darren recommended was not a "hard" plan to stick to. It did involve a lot of cardio, but I did not feel like the plan was a traditional "diet and exercise routine". Instead, this was a 21-day introductory course on making changes for a healthier lifestyle. Thanks to Darren's guidance, I'm continuing to lose weight while building and toning muscle. If you're looking for experience that gets results, Darren is your guy!
