Introduction: I am a wedding, portrait and dance photographer based in Raleigh, North Carolina and Boulder, Colorado. I have over 15 years of experience in photojournalism, editorial photography, dance photography and portraiture. My training in photography, videography and digital design began when I served as a combat photographer in the United States Navy. I believe in offering a full-service experience to every one of my clients. That means providing you with an unparalleled experience: finding the meanings behind your most special moments; documenting your day, your journey, your personality -- your story -- creatively and artistically; and delivering showpiece heirlooms that will allow you to relive those memories for the rest of your life. Everyone has a story to tell. I'd love to help you tell yours!

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

My training began in the United States Navy. While serving in a combat camera unit, I learned the fundamentals of photography, videography, photojournalism and digital design. I am Adobe Certified in Photoshop and Illustrator, as well as a member of Professional Photographers of America.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I like to get to know my clients before we set out on our journey together. From my perspective, the more I understand a potential client's needs and wants, their vision — their story — the better I am able to capture images and footage that are truly authentic, reflective and meaningful. When choosing a photographer or videographer, it’s important to make sure they are a good fit for you and your family — not only in terms of their photographic and/or videographic style and the quality of their portfolio, but also their personality and work ethic. Some personalities simply don't mesh, and the last thing you want is to spend hours (or days) feeling awkward and constrained because your photographer is unaccommodating, rigid, impersonable, etc. That’s why I prefer to meet potential clients first — or at least have a good video or phone chat — before booking. This initial conversation helps us get to know one another. More importantly, it helps you to determine whether we’ll make the perfect creative team for your project.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

I have worked with a wide variety of clients: wedding couples, sailors, United States Marines, ballet dancers, baseball players, commercial clients and just about everything in between.
