I am an older adult (older than Betsy) and I starting taking piano from her two years ago. ( I had one year of instruction as a teen-ager and took briefly while teaching and working on a master's degree --- too much ---20 yrs ago). Betsy has been encouraging and SO helpful. I have learned much about chords and how important the shape and the positioning of one's hands are ! Betsy answers my questions and I have many and then "gently" guides me into the next challenge. I am thoroughly enjoying my piano experience and the dog no longer relocates to another room when I begin practicing. My husband tells me I am playing well and he is a fine singer, so that is encouraging.,
