Rhonda L. says, "I'd hired Grey a few weeks back to clean my flowerbed for the Winter, to plant flowers and add high quality, chocolate mulch. He was on time and he and his crew promptly began work at 8 AM. I was pleased with the cleanup of the bed but he did not clean up the areas where he removed the weeds, the old plants and mulch and left it on the sidewalk, porch and driveway. I asked him if he'd clean and blow it off but he responded that, "the rain would wash it away." I spent 2 hours trying to rinse the areas off because the dye and dirt was staining the concrete. I am handicapped, so it was a chore. The mulch used was dyed the day before so it wasn't cured. The mulch was thick, chunky, poor quality that floated away and dye stained my sidewalk, porch and drive. I was very dissapointed. I reached back out to him. Grey promised to make it right. He came today and on time as promised. He removed the other mulch and applied the new, architectural, chocolate brown that I'd initially requested. The crew that he used was new but very meticulous and paid attention to details. One even replanted flowers that the Deers had pulled up. They blew the side walk, drive and porch clean and even the granite boulders clean. I still have to pressure wash the areas but Grey renewed my faith. He didn't charge me for doing it over. I will use him again because he showed integrity and professionalism! The first four pictures are from the first time. The one guy used a weed eater to trim the Lariope. He cut it too low but it will grow back. The other pictures are from today and it is night and day difference!"See more

At Horton’s Harvest & Arbor, I don't just maintain yards—I cultivate ecosystems. As a Chatham County native and a lifelong farmer, I understand our local soil and climate better than anyone. What sets my service apart is the science behind the work. I hold a degree in Horticulture, a Certified Arborist credential, and full licensing for Ornamental and Turf pesticide application. While many companies focus on 'mow and go' volume, I operate on a philosophy of Quality over Quantity. I take the time to research every species on your property to ensure that every cut, treatment, and planting is done correctly the first time. My true passion lies in trees, specifically the art of pruning fruit trees and orchards to maximize both beauty and harvest. Whether you need precision arborist work, specialized turf management, or a garden that thrives year-round, I bring professional-grade expertise with a farmer’s work ethic to every gate I walk through."
