ESL Tutoring

Introduction: I work with students from preschool to professional, usually with an emigrated professional and accompanying family members. With professionals, focuses include accent reduction and listening skills, business language and cultural nuances of language and grammar and writing. With stay-at-home adults, I assist with accessing community resources including municipal resources and governmental agencies, finding and participating in volunteer and social activities, interacting with doctors and schools and assistance with finding items for the home. With children, I specialize in familiarization with classic literature and the common stories and songs of the child's American peers as well as vocabulary, pronunciation, and cultural nuances of socialization in America. Each student is unique in needs and preferences, and together we create a class format and learning objectives that best meets the needs of the student. With a decade of experience in international travel, I personally understand the challenges of integrating into a new culture and help my students with all aspects of adjustment.
