Yesterday 6/3/2014 Joseph Allen left a message for me here on Thumbtack, stating he was currently in the area and and he could come out and give me an estimate, if I called to arrange a time. I called. We spoke about what I needed and he seemed to have the idea I wanted the trees removed. I told him we wanted to save them. He said he could come by sometime in the late afternoon (yesterday) if it would be convenient for me. I said it would be fine and we disconnected the call. Then I realized he never asked where I lived. So I left a message here on Thumbtack with my address and phone number. He responded thanking me and saying "I'm thinking around 4." I wrote, "4 it is, I'll be here."
That was the last I heard from him. He did not show up 'around 4 or 5 or even 6. No message here explaining what happened, no phone call, nothing. It is of course possible that something terrible happened, like he was in a wreck and isn't able to contact me, but all I can state is what I know and that is he never showed up and has made no effort to contact me yet.
Perhaps he isn't qualified to help save the trees, only to remove them, which is fine, all he had to do was say so and I wouldn't have wasted my time yesterday.

I had a 3 foot in diameter water oak tree to grind down and Joe sent me a quote the next morning so I called Joe and set up a time to meet that same day and started working shortly afterwards after honoring the quote he give me on thumbtack and I was very pleased with Joe and the service he provided I will recommend him,

Joe contacted me immediately with a very reasonable quote and the same day arrived and performed the job. He was fair, timely, professional and a hard worker. One of the bushes he was removing was not easy and he kept at it. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone and will be using him again in the near future.
