What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes. I belong to the AHA, and I am constantly staying on top of the guidelines.
I just went to my training center to review the new guidelines for 2010.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your service? If so, please share the details here.
I charge $55 per person for BLS Healthcare CPR or for Heartsaver CPR.
I also train in Heartsaver Workplace and Pediatric First Aid. I charge $65 per person for an individual, or $45.00 for groups.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I became a CNA and realized I didn't enjoy that work, so I decided to teach.
I had to be certified in BLS Healthcare to become a CNA, and I decided the two classes I went to, I walked out of them scratching my head saying, "I will never do CPR." It's amazing how many instructors there are out there.
What types of customers have you worked with?
98% of my work is in the healthcare field. I do go to professional healthcare offices and do group training.
I also give group discounts.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I just trained 19 people at a local Eye Center. Since training them, they now know how to use an AED and advanced airway.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
You should have Action CPR perform your BLS and Heartsaver CPR Training because we believe in making sure everyone knows how to do CPR when they leave our facility by giving one-one-one training, and state-of-the-art equipment. Other facilities do group training, and do not pay attention, and just hand out certificates for the money. At Action CPR, we care!
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Because I want everyone to know CPR, and I want to teach them.
I feel it's important in this day, that everyone should know how to save a life.
