Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: My work stands out from others in my industry not just in quality, there are many other talented people in my field but the fact that my work is actually the homeowners work. I can advise, assist with ideas,do the planning, building and or painting but the end result is change or idea the homeowner had or wanted...I am the person that makes those custom ideas happen. The things I like most about my job is the creative factor and the challenges of making things you don't see very often or have always wanted.Another satisfying part of my job and what I do is I always have my clients look and participate in every step, I feel this not only makes the job come out the exact way they want but makes everyone feel as though they helped and with most custom builds things change along the way.to be able to have haooy clients and be happy after a job is a truely satisfying feeling.

Hired on Thumbtack

He had done three jobs for us: 1) concrete pad, not good finish at all, seems relative small job but he asked more money many many times; 2) Basement insulation, ok, an easy job; 3) Basement drywall, not finish and does not return calls or text to finish the job. Sheet rocks were not hanged properly, the cut outs were so bad that he said you can get bigger covers. The job supposed to finish in two weeks and was not near finish after four weeks. Then he would not return my repeated calls and texts. He is not a honest professional contractor and is rather a con artist at the best. He put lower bids and would continue ask for more money during the jobs. After he received most the money he will not return your calls or texts and return to finish the jobs. He does not have the professional skills and any integrity to finish the job in time and in quality.

Mr.Jun Ye had wrote this review before work was completed. There was a misunderstanding in time and procedure to complete the drywall job including holidays and weather for the concrete. He can not take this posting down and after speaking with him he said he is willing to speak to any potential clients interested in hiring me.His number is 919-916-7248.

Ryan initially did a great job on our cabinets. He went above a beyond finishing the cabinets both in our kitchen and bathroom. The price did increase from the initial quote but the job was going to take longer than he initially expected. I understood and agreed to the price increase. I even finished the job by putting on the remainder of the cabinets in the kitchen and bathroom so Ryan would not have to come back to finish – which was OK by me, I offered. The good news is the cabinets looked brand new. The trouble came in the following weeks. Ryan was supposed to use high-end kitchen cabinet paint (that cost extra), this paint is supposed to withstand spills, heat and day to day messes. Ryan went out of his way to explain that in a demo with someone else he “took out a pen and drew on the cabinet, and wiped away the pen mark”. Since Ryan left, we had a coffee stain on the cabinet. We wiped away the coffee with a sponge and in doing so, we wiped away some paint but the coffee stain remained. I called Ryan to let him know of my concern, he said that because of the number of coats, the paint needs to "cure" for up to 3 weeks and I request he come by to check out the stain and to drop off the leftover paint so we can do touch up work. He agreed, however Ryan never showed. We made a couple efforts to plan another time but again he never showed up (or called to say he couldn’t make it.) I have since left Ryan multiple voicemail's to request he at least tell me the brand/type/color he used so I can go buy the paint and do the touch up. Unfortunately, he has not returned any of my voicemail's or text messages. Just this week we had another coffee spill with the same result and my concern is that the paint used in my kitchen and bathroom are not the high end kitchen cabinet paint he claimed he used (and I paid for) and the job will not stand the test of time. I’m disappointed because this was not an inexpensive job and we have wanted to paint our cabinets for a long time and now I’m afraid I will have to paint over Ryan’s job.

I am disappointed with Thumbtack as Mike tried to change his review.I did take a few weeks to get back to his house, the reason is the two jobs I was doing were about an hour away and I could not make it there at a reasonable time.I did go back and bring him the leftover paint while inspecting his concerns. The problem was not the paint or workmanship, but the paint not being fully cured when he used an abrasive rag.I tested the durability by drawing on several cabinets with a pen and pencil, waited a few minutes aND wiped them clean with a magic eraser which I bought a box to use and give to him. He was very happy and extremely satisfied the night I left. For his inconvenience I gave him 25% off power washing his deck at a later date.

Never showed up on time if at all, did not have expertise to do job (built-ins) but took job and after four days of work it looked terrible, continued to ask for more money over and above the quoted amount, eventually had to fire him and now refuses to bring back items belonging to owner (after numerous emails/text over three weeks) DO NOT HIRE!

I have been debating even saying anything about this review but I a few things need to be said in my defense. On this job as well as many custom jobs I am hired for the original plan changes once started mostly from changed minds, additional features or unforseen obstacles. In this case the job changed many times due to the way the original structure was built and placement changes requested by the homeowner.the price changes were verbal and agreed upon. All work that was written in the contract was performed and as far as "not showing up"I was given certain hours I was able to work and a lot of the job was fabrication which as a courtesy to wife who worked from home in the next room I did as much as I could off the property as to not disturb her work or interfere with their kids schedules. In the end I asked to be compensated for custom paint I had to purchase and was refused reimbursement.... $30.00 for paint I was getting for him to keep. I was not "fired"we agreed to stop work and both walk away. After many harrassing texts and calls with being talked down to and treated as an inferior person,i stopped responding. So this review was written over a can if paint from a lawyer who was mad that the work in the contract was performed, could not get over on me or legally do anything. This man and his wife are very nice people who i got along with and am dissapointed that i was not able to complete my work and i got badmouthed after a mutual decision

I hired Ryan to do multiple jobs for me in June of 2014, I needed to have 3 new doors installed , the roof repaired and a new one installed, new gutters, new front porch railings and steps, new deck, new side porch, new fencing, the entire house painted and the entire back yard leveled and graded. These jobs provided steady work from June 2014 to October 2014. Despite several attempts at contact I have not been able to reach him to come out and finish the work. These jobs have bot been completed and I have had to hire someone else to complete them. I have also been told that the new deck does not meet code because the joists are spaced too far apart.
