FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Every year, I attend 2 or more pesticide classes in order to keep my credits for my NCDA pesticides applicators license and to learn about new control products. I also attend 3 or more ICPI installer and design classes in an effort to keep my certification renewed and learn best practices for both ICPI for paver installation and NCMA for segmental retaining walls. I also attend a few lighting and turf counsel meetings to keep up to date on new products and techniques.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I feel into it just like most did as a summer job in high school. I soon knew more than my boss so at age 19 I started my own business and now at age 47 I believe I have found my calling.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
We mostly perform lawn maintenance services for our clients. We also provide lawn care, fertilizing and weed control. We also build patios, walls and install and repair irrigation systems. Outdoor lighting is becoming a larger piece of our services.
