Introduction: I have a BA in creative writing and provide academic and professional editing and proofreading in all genres. I work with aspiring and professional writers in academics, science/research, legal, and publications/manuscripts. In addition to grammar, punctuation and syntax, I will direct your attention to readability and continuity issues and offer suggestions and carefully considered constructive critique.
I provide services in just about any software format, but prefer MS Word where I can employ the "track changes" tool to offer edits and leave directive comments. I accept all work via email with fast turnaround. Large files can be transferred via YouSendIt or DropBox.

David Kent has been the go-to proofreader and editor of client reports for myself and several other litigation consultants at our busy consulting firm for years. He is always very responsive, prompt, and friendly to work with. The reports David proofs and edits for us deal with unique, complex subject matters and are prepared in various formats, but he is always able to immediately pick up on the nature of the case and research exercise involved as well as the desired report format. David offers not only grammatical and formatting corrections, but also helpful and insightful substantive recommendations. His attention to detail is impeccable, and I trust his careful eye and skill to polish reports so that they are client-ready. On top of this, Davids turnaround is wonderfully fast. David has been my proofreader for over two years, and has never let me down. I am a court reporter. David has been my proofreader for a few years now. He is very precise with his corrections and explains the reasoning behind them. I've read his blogs. He is an amazing writer as well.
