FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
As a Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), I am accountable to an educational standard through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. The National Strength and Conditioning Association mandates so many continuing educations units (CEU) every 3 years for certification. These CEU's are obtained through webinars, on-line testing, conferences, publications, acquiring new certifications and renewing previous certifications.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always been very active in sports my entire life, with that being said, I followed my passion into college and pursued a degree in Exercise Science. After graduation I wanted to stay within the health fitness field, which in turn, lead me to training. My goal is not only to provide outstanding training services to clientele, but to have my own health and wellness studio one day.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
I believe all customers need to understand that fitness results do not come quick or easy. Clients need to know that exercise and nutrition are a life style commitment. Alot of people want quick/fast results through fad diets or extreme exercise. Yet, many find themselves back to were they started, months later. The best way to losing weight is not with quick alternatives, but through education and life style changes.
