Introduction: I am an artist. I enjoy creating art.
One of the ways I enjoy creating artwork is through my camera(s). I enjoy many types of photography. I am an outside-the-box thinker. I enjoy creating artistic portraits.
I love to experiment in my photography. Some of my favorite shots were the results of being willing to experiment. I heard a long time ago, "If you do what you've always done, you'll get what you always gotten." I don't want my photography to stagnate. I always want it to be improving. Every person/event is unique. There are always creative ways of photographically representing that uniqueness.
Many of my photos have won first place ribbons and "Best of Show" in photo competitions. My kids (16, 14, and 7) have now started winning ribbons in photos competitions. That, to me is even more exciting than me winning them.
I have a mobile studio that I can take with me to wherever we need to be. It can include backdrops, studio flashes, etc. I offer both still photography and video.
I often supplement my wedding photography with GoPro Hero2 video cams in different locations where I cannot be. In several weddings I have embedded a small GoPro cam in the live flower bridal bouquet, creating quite an interesting video perspective.
You can also see some of my work on my Facebook photography page, simply entitled "Dave Teachout Photography."
My goal is to take the "frustrating studio experience" out of the portrait process.
I look forward to meeting you.
