Bret is awesome. Both my kids(14 and 10) are currently taking guitar lessons. They are happy to go(piano at a standard "studio" was a real struggle). They go in proud to show him what they've practiced and come out proud to show me what they've learned. Bret is a wonderful teacher and a good dude. Some guitar guys like to shred and make others happy. Bret is making others happy by teaching them to shred to make others happy. Good guy, happy kids, excellent value, a deeper love of music for us all... I simply could not be more satisfied with this experience.Jul 6, 2018Review from Facebook

My daughter loves her lessons with Bret! His rates are very reasonable too!!!She has had 4 lessons so far and is quickly advancing with her ukulele. I would recommend BN Guitar Lessons to anyone, whether you are new to guitar or ukulele or wanting to advance on the skills you already have!!Mar 7, 2018Review from Facebook

Thank you so much Norma!
Been taking lessons since January. Bret is a great instructor. Had a little set back because I was out of town for all of March, but Bret just figured out where I was at and adjusted the lessons to get me caught back up. It's awesome when the instructor is just as excited about me playing songs as I am!!Apr 3, 2018Review from Facebook
Bret is an extremely good instructor. I'm an adult with an extremely busy schedule and he goes at my pace. I've had two previous instructors where I only lasted a couple months. But he's knowledgeable, encouraging, and very easy to work with!Feb 6, 2020VerifiedBN Guitar Lessons's reply
Thank you Cory!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? At the first lesson, I try to get to know the student and their goals and interests. I also assess their current skill level. Depending on their skill level, I typically will recommend a guitar method book that I use to help students gain fundamentals and mark progress. I try to create a fun and supportive environment where I balance introducing students to the fundamentals and working on songs and styles that they are interested in. I've found this balance helps keep things fun and motivating.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have been playing guitar for 27 years. I've been performing publicly for about 25 years around the region with various groups.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?I had always received requests for lessons over the years and aside from a couple friends/family members I hadn't seriously considered giving lessons. In early 2018, I had a received a request for lessons and decided to do it. From that one request, it has ignited a passion to teach and mentor others on their journey to learn the guitar and meet their goals.
