What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Hourly rate to set up and clean up. Once the triage is complete, then I offer a flat rate subscription type service based on the regular work required.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a certified QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor and am invited to webinars weekly to stay abreast of the changing environment. I am working to be certified on pertinent apps that integrate with QuickBooks that will help my clients. I am constantly being educated and provide workshops and training.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was hired many years ago to run a small Credit Union. I was taught how to do the books on the job. I then self taught how to prepare budgets and analyze the financials. Every month when the work was done, I felt very satisfied and grateful to have been given this opportunity to run the business. I then went on to run another Credit union and opened my own mortgage brokerage business. When the economy crashed, I went to work for a Bank as a Commercial Business Banker...again, the tools I learned on the job such as credit analysis and understanding tax returns were invaluable. I now can offer everything I learned over the years to my clients and help them be prepared and succeed in their business.
