Introduction: No one expects good food at a catered event, but I am here to change that. I mean, think about it? When was the last time you were invited to a catered event and actually looked forward to the meat? Meat is delicious and doesn’t deserve it’s poor treatment. You know what I mean? If so, read on… Let’s talk about meat: being an avid outdoorsman I have spent a significant amount of time pursuing and preparing wild game and so I feel it deserves some respect. There’s a deep connection to hunting and pursuing the meat you are going to consume that is lost when simply purchasing it from a store. I feel preparing it properly honors the animal it came from. Under or over cooking it causes it to be inedible and therefore wastes the meat and the life of the animal. On the other hand, a perfectly cooked piece of meat is not only delicious, it’s responsible. I’ve learned this through handling wild game, but I believe this principle applies to all meats. One of my greatest joys in life is teaching my kids where their food comes from and if I’m not in the kitchen you can probably find me in the woods, fields or by a stream with them. While meat prep is my love and passion, I also believe what accompanies the meat completes the meal. If you’re someone who loves your veggies too you won’t be disappointed! I can honestly say I enjoy the entire process of cooking - from creating in the kitchen to serving the last bite at an event. I appreciate my clients and their happiness is my greatest pleasure.
